2001 V10 cutting out and dying.

I have a2001 v10 with 52,000 miles on it. About 2,000 miles ago it randomly started cutting out while under throttle, and dying when coming to a stop, or just putting around parking lots ect..... Sooo off to my mechanic, who is a certified Ford technician, and just does my stuff on the side. I was thinking that it just needs a fuel filter..... but he said it needed a full gasket kit to fix two gasket leaks, so I trust him, and replaced all the gaskets. WEll not 2,000 miles later its hiccupped twice in the past month, and died at a redlight tonight.... So I`m at a loss, any Ideas??? Any help would be appreciated, I`m not mechanical, so will have to pay a tech either way. But I dont wanna just keep changing parts for nothing....

Lots of things that can cause such an interruption of the engine operation. Intermittent faults will drive everyone crazy. Don't be surprised if it takes multiple tries over a period of time to pin it down (if ever).

You won't get a MIL or codes for problems like this.

Look for intermittents in the PCM power, fuel pump power, fuel pump, and ignition system.

The only time it has a CEL, is when it dies..... and no stored codes either...... VERY frustrating, so noone seconds the fuel filter problem??? I thought about the fuel pump too, but it got a new one around 18,000 miles...... so i`m at a loss.

Restricted fuel flow...it cuts out under load....that is a very likely culprit.
