exhaust too hot?

I am a rancher and have had a 1999 f350 7.3 since it was new.Great truck but it rolled over 297000 miles so i up graded to a 2010 6.4 . I am concerned about exhaust system, worried about cleaning system. don't want to burn off my pasture. should i be concerned and is there a converssion kit for this system

first thing to do is get something to monitor your regens. If you are in regen then you don't want to be parked in the grass if it is tall.

Where are you from? Some states now have emissions for diesels.

I thought the regen shuts off when you put it in park?

Regens will shut off in park but if you are hot and pull into the grass that may be an issue.

I believe it even states in the owners manual not to park in tall grass because it might cause a fire.
The only way to bypass that is illegal, and that is to do a DPF delete. I wonder if it would be worth calling or emailing the EPA to see if there is maybe some sort of relief for farmer as far as that is concerned, I doubt it but you never know.
The DPF delete requires a tuner and a new piece of pipe, but if your location requires emission testing that could be an issue also.

other option is what I did was a banks 6 gun and the IQ to monitor these things. That works inline so need to pull the dpf.

Also meets EPA certifiications so you don't need to remove if emission tested.
