Hey, looking at getting a 87 f250 460 carb. I want 400+ rwhp and 500+rwtq. How is the best way to rebuild the 460

Rebuild with hypereutectic cast pistons that bump the compression ratio up to around 10.5-11.5:1 and a mild performance cam in 214/224 - 224/234 duration at .050" lift range... add a high rise dual plane manifold... and headers with dual 3" exhaust... 14" diameter air cleaner with 3" or higher element...

. If money is no object, can add aluminum hyper heads... full roller cam setup...

 

Why hypereutectic pistons? Also what size carb?
