Vacuum line question

I was looking over the vacuum lines on My '87 F250, and noticed the hose going to the vacuum modulator, was routed to a plastic vacuum tree on the firewall. Would it be better, if I moved it directly to a vacuum tree on the intake manifold??

I will if it's in the factory location, but am not sure if the previous owner has messed around with things, etc.

Id think it would keep it from breaking the tree later on if it all moves together but just an half cent opinion.
