Considering a 2013 5.0 in my 68

I have an opportunity to get a 2013 5.0 engine transmission computer harness radiator etc.... All with less than 6000 miles on it!
I'm considering trying to fit it into my 68 long bed 2wd... What I would like is some help in finding a few forums with similar swaps in a 67-72 that I can read up on before making my final decision on tackling this type project. I've wanted to swap the motor and transmission for a while now and never considered a new mod style motor until this fell in my lap. Anything you all can shoot my direction to read up on would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Should make a fun project. You might want to check into what to do for a speedometer, I don't believe your cable system can be used with that tranny. Seems like that may be controlled from the rearend now.

Classic Trucks magazine did a series on putting an 08 4.6 with an FRPP harness in a 68 F-100 a few years back. Check for it online.

I have a 2007 4.6 3v in mine. You'll probably want to ditch the mustang harness and go with the frpp setup. There will be a huge amount of things you don't need, not to mention getting around PATS ect.

Here's my build thread it might help you some.

2x....PATS, electric power steering, limited to a manual trans with the FRPP control pack. Going auto requires even more $$.
