Before too long I am going to have to replace the motor in my 1993 2WD 5.0. It is pushing 325,000 miles and I don't think it is going to hold out much longer. I will be looking for a used one and want one that is simply a bolt in swap. Does anyone know the year models that will interchange with my 1993 without having to change anything? Thanks.

Have you made any consideration to upgrading to a 5.8?

I am open to the idea of a 5.8, but the 5.0 really provides all I need for the way I use my truck. Would installing a 5.8 be much more of a job than a 5.0?

Nope, the 5.8 is pretty much a direct swap other than a part or two.
