Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the outside door handles on a 1944 Ford pickup?

 

If you remove the two screws holding them in, they should pull out...thing is, they may have rusted up some where they slide into the latch assy.

Try wiggling and tapping sharply with a block of wood as you try to pull them out, might break them free.
