"Light Steering"

Ok Chaps and Chapesses,
my F3 darksider has a 3" drop axle,drop springs and Toyota P/S.
Steering is responsive but has a 'floating' feel to it which feels just weird.
I've increased the caster and it makes no difference.
Alignment hasn't been done yet so wondering if that's the issue?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
EB

Have them set the wheels straight ahead, no toe-in. I assume you have radials? In good shape? Properly inflated?

Brand new radials and inflated correctly.
My question is could a bad alignment cause this?

Maybe, it could also be you have too much boost in the PS. It's adjustable by changing out the pressure regulating valve spring. Check some of the articles on here about the Toy PS.

Turns fine, I'll look into the shims and as soon as the snow melts drag it in for an alignment.
