Help Hotwiring my Expedition
I have a 1999 expedition, I'm in the middle of trying to get it started so I can drive it to ford to have them fix my OBD2 port so I can program my new keys, I have a new ignition and new keys that fit, but my obd2 port isn't working so I can't program them. When I try to turn my key over it won't even turn over (duh), so I ran a switch to both wires on the starter, and when I press the switch on it tries to start, it feels like it SHOULD start, but it just keeps turning over. Any ideas why it won't start? I put it in neutral, turned the key over and all the dash lights and stuff come on, just not sure whats happening. It turns over and feels like it wants to start. Before I lost my other keys it started just fine.
I'm assuming there is something about the PATS that is keeping it from starting, or maybe its not getting fuel?
Thanks in advance!

That '99 should have the Type C PATS system. The Type C does not have a starter interrupt capability, so the PATS shouldn't prevent it from cranking the engine.
If the PCM doesn't receive a proper pulse from the PATS system the PCM will not turn the fuel pump on. That is done to prevent someone from hot wiring your vehicle.
