I posted in another thread but am desperate and hoped someone would see this and know where to direct me. On the common parts sites I'm finding valve springs, seals, keepers, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters.. all the parts in the valve train EXCEPT for the valve retainer.

I'm told that when the valve stems are sunk down a little it's common that the retainer will be cracked. Figure not a bad idea to replace them all.

I just can't locate a source for 6.9 valve retainers. I am not talking about the two keepers used to keep the retainer in place - I need the actual retainer (the big washer looking object on top of the springs).

Any help appreciated.

 

So they only crack when the valves sink in the heads and get the geometry out of whack? If that is the case, I don't see any reason to replace them as maintenance.
