As the subject states I have a 2005 6.0 with a glow plug issue.

Let me give you some background. The truck was having charging issues or so I thought. The truck was burning up alternators. I blamed it on the engine heat and cheap remanufactured alternators. I ordered a new aftermarket alternator from National QuickStart Alternators. The truck was operational but I would come out to dead batteries. Not completely dead but it was low enough to need a jump. After much testing and isolation I discovered an extreme over current situation. The glow plugs were turning on and pulling too much load for the batteries to charge. Current draw was coming from the glow plugs. So much that it was burning out the voltage regulator in normal amperage alternators.

I've since replaced the glow plug control module and the problem is still there. I know the PCM controls the GPCM. my question is what sensor is the PCM using to know when to cycle the GPCM?

I am assuming it has to be a temperature sensor of some sort but I am not seeing any indication that it is the ECT or EOT sensors.
