2-stroke oil vs. Fuel additive

Ok guys I have researched this alot and well more mixed reviews and lots of outdated threads. Is there any problems running 2stroke oil to the tank? does it cause the fuel filters to be changed more often? Any new info arise from using 2stroke in these 6.0l? If you dont use 2-stroke oil what additive do you use?

I have used Ashless 2 stroke from walmart for a few years now. Works fine. I also add Diesel Kleen grey bottle in summer, white bottle in the winter.

Filters? They look fine at 15,000 miles.

I've been doing the same for the 30K miles I've had mine. I've also noticed a difference in how smooth I run when I skipped adding the 2-Stroke a few tanks.

I've used Diesel Kleenex too. Never sure it really helps. Considered use Archoil additive in my oil for injector stiction, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I guess one needs to know if there are issues that need to be fixed or just preventative maintenance?

I was thinking of running the 2 stroke oil as well but already run Power Service gray and white.

I had thought about getting a decibel reader to see if the sound of the injectors really went down, and if so, just how much.

Anyone out there want to give it a go? Maybe stop by a stereo shop and see if they have a good reader. I never did find a decibel app that had good enough reviews to try this with.
