Mark, you stayed with the .84 exhaust housing right?

This wheel is great for towing! Aside from more boost when towing uphill, I really noticed a difference when starting out at altitude. With the stock wheel, and in my roughly 40t tune, I would emit an enormous cloud of smoke if I had to start quickly at high altitude when towing. For example, we have metered entrance ramps here. When the light turns green, it takes a lot of pedal to get 15K up to the 65mph speed limit quickly. With the new wheel, I get one quick dense puff, and it's gone.

Hey guy, are you still liking these wheels? I am getting the itch for a mod and I think this fits the bill. Seems like everyone has great things to say about the wheel. Any changes after a couple years?

Thanks.

I'm not sure Riffraff is carrying that 11 fin wheel anymore, but you can call and ask.
The WW2 is pretty much the industry standard these days.
Short of getting the KC Turbo KC-66 (which I have and love) or his KC-38r if you're planning future tuning/injector upgrades will probably be a better way to go. but the WW2 will suffice as a cheap upgrade for now.

If your looking for a new wheel, RiffRaff and Performance Turbo Parts ? SP Turboost Company, LLC are pretty much the top contenders right now.

Are there options to the ATS ported housing, i.e. any other ported housing kits?

Anyone here using a Banks housing with his wheel and Big Head?

I am finding wheels come in a lot of different fin numbers. Can anyone explain the difference it makes, beyond just what the advertising says?

Just trying to figure all this out, before I spend my dollars.

I'm running the Banks housing with WW2 and a Big Head. Been running it since 08. I have hardly any smoke, no surge and a bit more spool up.

I will be upgrading again soon to the 38r compressor housing that riffraff sells.

Thanks, I think Banks stuff often gets overlooked. I had the opportunity years ago to visit with Gale Banks face-to-face and I gotta tell you, say what you will, I was impressed. Not saying his stuff is better or worse, just saying.

The big head waste gate is pointless. Get the turbo master. My only complaint with banks is that it is overpriced.

Price is very close to the same. How is the Turbo Master better? Question, not challenge.

Beans used to have a ported exhaust housing. Dunno if they still do or not.
