i must be an idiot (50 cent mod)

Sure enough I had uvch problems a week ago on the passengers side bank. I did the 25 cent mod to my truck until I had time to add the other quarter. All was great until this morning she started throwing a fit a half a mike from my house I looked at my egt gauges and sure enough the same side wasn't getting fuel.
I don't know how I screwed that up it doesn't get much more straightforward. Some how I did though. So its 8pm 70* raining humid and my truck sits to high to get all the way in the garage. I pulled the nose in as far as I can poped the hood and it diesnt even open enough to hold itself up. Block of wood installed. I wonder how many times I'm gonna knock it out and drop the hood on my head..... At least I've got to be up before the crack of dawn to go to work (if you wanna call that a silver lining).
Just thought id share gonna go tackle this now.

Sometimes the center pin gets burned and the entire bank runs intermittently. Might work OK when cold and then go out when the engine warms up or sometimes it's the other way around. Usually removing the connector and plugging it back in will get you by for a week or two but then the symptoms eventually return.

Here is what my harnesses and gasket looked like when I had this issue.

Mine was the 25 cent fail. Turns out there's just enough room to wrap a piece of machinest wire around the connection. Got her fixed up I hope for now.

That is sad but funny... I die the repair with the plastic shims from Ford. Did not like the ideal of the loose change under the vavle cover. Laster 6 months and started over again. This time I replaced gasket and harness. No more problems..

I'm glad it wasn't anything that happened due to me. It wasn't as obvious as the picture tugly posted. The plug was out only about 1/32 I didn't even notice it until I pushed it in. Gaskets and harness sounds like a good plan. Oh I made it to work this morning with a big thanks to my wife with her little hands helping me get it done, my hands don't like to work like they should sometimes
