Spare Tire Sizing?

Is the factory spare tire still usable when running 35" tires on a 2006 F-250?

The OEM spares are fullsize spare to match the original tires that came on the truck from the factory.

You would be fine to use it to go a short distance to a shop to get repairs as long as you don't use 4WD. You wouldn't want to run it for very long though.

My spare is not as big as my 4 tires. If needed, I would use it to get to somewhere that can repair or replace the flat tire.

Differentials are designed to allow tires on the same axle to rotate at different speeds, even LS differentials.

I would not run 1000 miles with different sized tires on an axle, but 50 or so to get to a shop is OK.

If you can't get to a tire shop within 50 miles, you went into the outback unprepared.

Good to know - I was thinking it would make more sense to just carry around a can of that green slime stuff.
