Obviously lack of knowledge there. There is absolutely no need for flux core on this thing. I don't need to get into any arguments here. I'm a steel fitter, welder for a living and there's nothing you can teach me this I know 100%. And clearly very arrogant about it. I never asked for any welding advice, so I don't know why you're in here spewing your BS around. I also didn't know I was trying to teach you anything. I was posting pictures of my build, then the diarrhea started running out of your mouth. Go play in the BS thread, your drivel is not wanted in here

pahahaha 13....

I think its plenty solid, it looks like you know what you're doing.

73-i think a lot of people here have just learned on their own so they might see it from a backyard practicality point of view

I don't think any of us have or have a use for a .045-.068" flux core mig machine in our back yard shops let alone have 480 3phase to properly run them. I have access to them at work but why? A Miller 252 with .035" wire 75/25 gas and a trigger puller with half a brain can weld absolutely anything necessary on any of our trucks since I don't think any of us have chromemoly roll cages. If for any reason the mig won't work I also have a Lincoln 225 AC/DC tombstone stick that works very well. I must admit the only time I use it is when I run out of gas or wire after 6pm or on the weekends.

What you are suggesting just isn't feasible and even if it were its completely unnecessary for 1/4-1/2" plate.

Your talk about welding was completely irrelevant to this thread. Nor do I care how you would have built it. I don't care if you think it's a waste of time, or if it's overkill yet underbuilt at the same time. I don't care if your certified in welding, I don't care what you do for a living. It doesn't seem that anyone else cares about how awesome you are either.

I will outweld, outfab ,outdo anything over you when it comes to this so I really don't give two chits about anything said about fab work from anyone who posts here! Lol
Your fancy doubled up tabs are gay that is for certain. Special kids seem impressed though.

I can definitely see why your fab is so supreme. Stellar spring hangers, butt welds, sloppy inner cage fit, poopy exo cage. Pure awesome. You may know how to weld, but judging from your pictures and all your questions you need to ask, you don't know how to do anything else. Congrats

Pretty sure 90 corners are tied in with plate. Built to save cab. Did its job. Trees rubbed off cage and into box. Seems legit. Watched tree take it out without caring. When doors go back on for winter guess what... They will still work.

When you flop or roll that skyscraper, guess what. Your exo is going to fold over and smash against the cab. Your 90's might have gussets, what about the other butt welds? Where's the cross bracing? Good welds don't fix a bad design superstar. Good thing you build to other people's specs for a living

I totally agree. I was enjoying this thread about the build and think he is doing an awesome job. Till 73 Ford Guy jumped in and started gloating about himself and bashing his work. Go on with the build man. I think it's great.
