2001 F-150 compuvalve bad, now what?

That pretty much sums it up. Mechanic did a diagnostic check on the valve, said part of it worked and part didn't. What are my options? I don't want to pay $2000. for a new valve on a 12 year old truck. Do I have any other options? Thanks!
