Pulley Puzzle
Alrighty then, upgrading to power steering on the '70 F100 with a 302. I have the hardware except for maybe a steering column. I bolted the pump up and it's obvious that I'll have to swap the pulley but going through pick ur part today all the pulleys I found were much larger in diameter than my stock one. I'll have to use an inner pulley for the pump but...........
Should I swap out the water pump pulley for a deeper offset and run both the water pump and the power steering pump off the same pulley?
Then a dedicated pulley for the alternator?
The possibilities are endless

That would be the best way for sure. But no such luck here. The pump came from a 351W. It also came with a bracket that looks just like the one pictured but it wouldn't fit the 302. I found that bracket today that fits both the motor and the pump. Looking around the net it seems that the power steering pump always gets the inside belt so I'm good there. All the pulley's that had the 4 bolt holes like my motor were way bigger than mine. I'll measure my pulley and get back. I'm thinking that any early ford pulley will work. The early stuff doesn't show up at the pick & pull anymore .
