No Color Code on Data Plate

My 1963 F-250 color code on the name plate is blank. The Truck has been repainted a brighter blue than was available, however inside the cab it appears to be more of a steel blue. Any ideas on what color is a blank on the plate?

Thanks for the help.

None, that's why it's blank.
Welcome to FTE

No COLOR code: Truck painted a non standard color per original purchasers order, making it a Domestic Special Order.

1963: DSO code stamped on the Warranty Plate will either have 4 or 6 numbers.

F25 = F250 2WD / C = 292 2V / R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant / 350884 = 1963, assembled November 1962.

DSO 710289:

71 = Los Angeles (SoCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

0289 = Domestic Special Order number, truck special ordered by original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

No COLOR code stamped on Warranty Plate: Domestic Special Order.

If paint formula required, Ford Dealer contacts FoMoCo with 6 digit DSO, they look up the order number, pass the paint formula back to the dealer.

Same DSO procedure used today.

Thanks for the information. I am no where near getting paint on the truck but I will get there someday.
