Hey guys! What years of the IDI trucks had C6 auto in them, and does anyone have one from a 2wd they want to get rid of? Thanks!

I see them pop up on Craigslist pretty often.

 

actually, the C6 was an optional trans through 1996 model year. but very few C6 transmissions were optioned in trucks after the intro of the od trans.

 

I've been looking, but haven't found one yet.

I had a '95 F250 5.8 gasser with a C6. It was a state truck, and I was told that it was ordered that way. Until then, I didn't know it was still an option in that late of model.

 

Do you type into the search feature on Craigslist? Try "diesel trans" or"Diesel transmission" It will give you close by results as well as local. There are a couple around Baltimore if you wanta make a road trip.

Thanks Tom. I'd really like to find one that is bad and needs rebuilt that I could pick up cheap. It is going to get built anyway.

 

I've dealt with those guys, they are pretty decent. There was one on Craigslist last week that someone had taken apart because it had no reverse. Asking $50... its gone now. I see them for $150-200 often.
