Thinking of Selling whats it worth

That is the one thing that has frustrated me for some time when it comes to these trucks.. Prices are all over the board! LOL!
I know what KBB is, I know what a typical car lot will ask for them, but when it comes to private party sale, thats a crap shoot.
In my area (Wyoming), prices are all over the place, as well as in Colorado. With this mileage and really good condition, I see prices ranging between 10-12K for any Ext cab to Crew. For the Reg Cab, I see prices ranging around 7-9k.
What kills me, is the occasional joker that throws one out there in rough shape, with a boat load of mileage, and is asking 12-15k.
The other trend I am seeing a lot around here, are the 99-01 SD's for sale. I know see them popping up for prices around 7-9k for an Ext Cab, and 9-11K for a Crew cab, while I am seeing OBS's for 1-2k more... Interesting!

Prices are all over the board across the country. I see some basic SD 7.3's around here for 9-12k, but if you want one with less than 200k and a crewcab prepare to give up an arm and a leg.
IMO, put a price on it a little above what you'd be willing to pay for it. Go with your gut.

We're talking a class of vehicles 15-19 years old. Of course they're gonna be found in a WIDE range of conditions, usage / maintenance histories, etc. Esp. with trucks and the wide range of ways in which they're used. And of course, between the F250s and F350s, XL/XLT, 2WD/4x4, cab/bed combinations, the prices when new went across a wide range. So you just gotta feed all that in to your own mental calculator, and as said, come up with a "gut reaction" value of the truck, offer it and see what the seller does. The key is to be patient, willing to wait for the right kind of truck that you want, in the right condition, for the right price, and be willing to walk away from any truck that you can't ultimately make be to your liking.

I didnt like the prices I found out there when I was first looking into diesels. And like we all agree, prices are all over the board! I found a 94 PS CC dually, with a flatbed, 5-speed, 408,000 miles, and tired clutch. Asking price back in 07 was 14k. Ummmm!
So I did a swap and conversion with mine, which was buying a truck from someone like the OP here, that had been totaled, and going from there! Well worth the time and money!
