Adding tow hooks to a 2WD

Adding tow hooks to a 2WD
I just bought a 2013 f150SC XLT 2 WD and since we camp a lot I would like to have either a set of tow hooks or a receiver hitch on the front of my truck. I don't need a 4wd since I hate to camp when it isn't nice out. I do camp sometimes when a "tow " might be needed but I don't see any where to hook a chain. I wouldn't mind a winch but I would like to use a receiver mount so I could use it in the front or in the back. Any Ideas? Any Pictures?

in order to put tow hooks on your truck you would have to cut the lower front fascia. Personally, I don't think it would look very good unless you ordered a factory 4x4 fascia to replace yours.
as far as a hitch receiver, autoanything.com has 2 choices that will fit your truck.
Sorry, I dont' have any pictures to show you.
here's the hitch receivers:

requires cutting if you don't have tow hooks. It would give you the general area to cut out.
If you click on the installation guide you can see a template to cut your fascia.

Aren't the front hooks there for you, if you get stuck? A tow truck driver would hook up to the frame - in my many years of owning Fords, I've never needed to be towed but towed many of vehicles. Unless you are in two feet of mud, you shouldn't either. Wriggle those tires and carry some boards if you would get stuck, to get the traction. And stay out of the mud...
