Changing battery cables

I would like to change the battery cables on my 96 f150. Went to parts store, looked up part, bought part, went home. The pos cable they sold me is a single wire but the one I have is a double wire. One to the starter and the other to the solenoid thingy. I'm going back to exchange it. What exactly do I tell them I need? Do I have to measure the wire that goes to the starter? Is this what is called a 2-lead cable?

The only one I can find in the area is listed side post. My battery is top post. And it's 85.00, does that sound right?

Try Rockauto.com if you want to save some money and can wait for shipping. If you just need the end, those universal ones actually work pretty good.
