3.0 help!!
OK, the junkyard is telling me only a 2002 eng. will work in my 2002 Ranger. This doesn't sound right. Why can't I use any year 3.0 Vulcan even if I have to put all externals on the other eng.? I have a V code flex fuel and know I would have to change injectors, fuel rails, intake and maybe a few other things to use a gas eng. I was hoping I could put all of the 2002 stuff on any Vulcan long block. Anybody have any info?

Go figure!
I've intergraded different years and size engines on all kind of cars. All bolt-ins with switching all sensors to match the computer, when applicable (LOVE A CARB)! A lot of bone-yards have been hiring novice people to run the pc/phone. Their much cheaper then a real mechanic that they don't want to pay just for sitting on his or her but. Always remember this when ever, were ever you buy parts from a bone-yard. It really does pay to do all the research your self then asking someone that probable moved up from a fast food company.
Here's another note about your 3.0, It has the same bell housing bolt pattern from a Ford 5.0 V8. My T5 mounted up like it came with the 3.0.
Glad to see you went for it anyways!
