T444E differences

Well, now that I know my engine is hash, I need to find some kind of reasonably priced solution that will work for me. I could spend maybe up to $2500 for a "good" one.

I haven't found many low mileage 7.3L PSDs but I have found quite a few T444Es out of buses and various International trucks. You know, the blue ones. I know they are essentially the same engine but what are the exact differences? Or for that matter, what about the older 7.3s? What would I have to change out to use any of these engines in my '02? Would the Injectors and HPOP work with my electronics? Any info is to me, at this point, invaluable.

Subscribing.
I *think* that the bolt pattern is wrong for the transmission.
I could be very wrong about that, but that is the thought that went through my mind when you asked that question.

IH uses an SAE belhousing but that should unbolt and the Ford bellhousing bolt behind the engine

Not sure on this, but I'm pretty sure they have mechanical fuel pumps installed (like the OBS trucks). The injectors are probably different and might need tuning to run unless you swap them out. Most of the harnesses should be the same, but there will be some stuff ford has that Int doesn't.

The OBS 7.3's have a different HPOP (15* vs 17*), a mechanical fuel pump, smaller injectors, different turbo (no intercooler), and a few other odds and ends.

If it's a hand shaker it could be made to work.
Automatic?
Forget it, the software is incompatable.
