Im trying to figure out what type of polish to use on the anodized aluminum grille bezel on my mean bean. Anyone have any experience with what to use or got any ideas? I tried using turtle wax chrome polish but it didnt seem to clean it up that great
Ya gotta remove the anodized coating if ya wanna polish the actual metal. What to use? Easy-Off Oven Cleaner.. cheap but caustic. Don't breathe the fumes and wear a face shield + gloves!
Think twice about removing it cuz then it'll always require polishing.
so easy off will take off the anodized coating? What would you say the best way is to clean up the anodized coating a little then, if Im understanding you correctly, thanks for the reply!

Yep.
The best way to restore and preserve the shell's appearance is to remove the anodized coating, have the grill polished, and then shoot clear over it.

Chrome polish has little effect on the coating.. all you're doing is expending time and alot of effort for little or no gain. There's no reviving a dull anodized coating... at least I don't know of any.
