Fix fuel neck with JB-Weld, tank repair epoxy, something else?

This is the rear tank filler neck on a '95. Couple of rust-induced pinhole leaks right where that clamp goes that supports the neck to the underside of the bed. Metal clamp on a metal neck, rust... I've had WTB ads up on all the forum sites, craigslist, etc. with ZERO replies. Discontinued at the dealership, nothing at nearby boneyards. So I'm looking at a repair. I remember using some purpose-made fuel tank repair epoxy on a gasser car 20-ish years ago, and it held good. I'm thinking something like that, or maybe JB Weld will patch it. Any other possibilities?

The shiny stuff is Fluid Film I have soaking on it, to break up the rust. Bet a nickel I'm gonna de-rust the whole thing, and paint it after the repair, and use a layer of bike innertube between that clamp and the neck for the reinstallation.

I don't know the best stuff to use, but I think you'll get it sealed up. I'm not as big of a fan of jb weld as I used to be, but it usually works. Someone has to know what would work best.

I would too, if I had a welder. But then I'd need a garage, and a real paved driveway, and....

I would buy a Marine Fibreglass Reapir Kit and use a thicker cloth as the fibre ( I use heavy Canvas ) and install it similar to taping a Hockey stick ..ie; cut the cloth into a strip, soak it in the resin and tape it up...use alot of Hardener so it dries fast....

Buddy runs a scooter shop (hey, it's Madison...) just around the corner; I'm stopping by tomorrow morning and have him weld it up.

You can get a cheap mig welder that runs flux core wire for a couple hundred or less. And they dont care where you plug them in.

Dang, Harbor Freight has one for $112! But my man Randy did it pretty quick. Paid him $10; he was only gonna charge me $2! It was getting thin in a few other places, so he advised me to just build up those areas with 5-minute epoxy. Did that, rust-oleum primer and paint, a wrap of bike innertube under the clamp, back in the truck. I won't know if it's holding 'til I fill up the tank again.
