Another Tire thread....

I currently have, Toyo AT - 275/65/20's on my truck. I have 51,000 miles on em. Im starting to plan for a new set of skins. I still have a little tread left, not a lot but, some. I could probably push em another few thousand miles. However, not real comfortable doing that. Anyways, been pretty happy with em, considering buying the same tires again.

Curious to what others with 20's are running, & how they've performed. Ive had several sets of bfg's over the years on different trucks but, these Toyos seem to have the best life out of any tire I've used before. What are you running ? How many miles you getting out of em..?

Just got 60k out of Michelin LTX AT2. I am probably going to to go with the Toyos next. Any idea what the biggest tire we can put on with a factory suspension?

That's pretty good mileage out of a set of tires. Why do want to change brands?

looking at one of our shops tire distributors and found the Toyo A/T II and the Cooper AT3 be the same price with the Toyo rated at 50k miles and the Cooper rated at 55k miles, LT tires which i hope you wouldn't be running the P metric . the at3 is supposed to handle gravel rock chipping very well, so if you drive a lot of gravel i might swing that direction. BFG All Terains do not seem to hold up near as well as they use to.

My drive is about 1/4mile of gravel. That's about it for gravel & me. I only go offroad a little. Majority of my driving is smooth to semi smooth highways.

I hear you on the BFG's. I use to run em years ago. Seemed to get good mileage out of em. Had a set semi-recently, they didn't make it 40K.

Cant give you any mileage, but I just put goodyear wrangler dura tracks on the one I got my dad. Like I said, no mileage length on them. But they look good with the more aggressive tread design, and dont ride much louder. Now a little pricy compared to others, but he wanted the look.

I really like the coopers, been running them for several years. I even have them on the car.

But I run the discovery STT's which is a mud and snow tire. They just run really good. Excellent tow tire.

I was extremely pleased with my Toyo MT's. ran around 60,000 miles on them. I ran 35's on factory suspension with zero issues. Put a 2.5" leveling kit and moved up to 37" Toyo MT's. Picked up a used set with 85% tread for $600. They're a little rough, but for $600, I couldn't pass. Just bought some time before I drop $2K on new rubbers.

I am currently on a vacation in Rhode Island. I had to replace my tires. Ran over a 5 inch piece of steel, before I realized it tire was flat and the rim destroyed the side of the tire. I had Goodyear Wranglers 275/65R20's Replaced with Michelin LTX AT2 275/65R20. I decided it was time to replace all four due to a gut feeling that the tires were about at the end of their life. I have put about 40 miles on them so far and they ride very well. I will be putting about 1500 miles on them on the return home. Total cost 1400.00 plus tax.
