Had a dream last night that I was test driving other Excursions for some reason and being the enthusiast that I am, I was into it. I test drove what had to have been a late '02 or an '03 Limited becuase I remember playing with the on-wheel controls becuase my significant other wanted the radio turned down.

After driving that truck, I saw the ultimate prize, the one I wanted and have been dreaming about for some time: An All-black, 2005 Limited, with the 6.0, 4wd, second row bench, TT mirrors, and lighted running boards.

I was walking towards it or where it was and I remember having this HUGE BSEG on my face ....then without warning, I suddenly had another dream, and never got to drive the truck, much less unlock it....

Talk about taking the wind out of my sails...BUT I can always dream...

 

Wet dreams for car nuts! Good story!

 

You have excursion in/on your brain and that's a good thing

 

So I finally figured out the meaning behind it all...

I was out at lunch with my Missus, kept staring at my truck and it hit me...

The reason why I had such a dream is because I've conquered the 7.3. I've built my 7.3 Excursion into a serious: Daily Driver, Tow Monster, and Pleasure vehicle I know the ins, outs, do's, and don'ts when it comes to a 7.3.

Therefore a new, formidable, challenge would be the 6.0, hence such a dream.

While I could easily afford another Excursion now, saving for a home is alot higher on the priority list. The only way I'd get one is if I absolutely had to...if mine were ever totaled or somehow destroyed.

Hope it won't come to that though...
