looking to buy a desiel excursion
hi, im looking to buy a Excursion sometime before this winter, i know i want a desiel for the mpg and the torque for towing my boat, i just dont know what year to buy i have herd the 6.0l powerstrokes had tons of problems but the 7.3 also had problems with the turbos and oil leaks, i know a guy that works at a local ford dealership and he has said get a 03 7.3 desiel or a 05 6.0 desiel since they are the last year they have had most of the bugs worked out includin the turbos and oil leakage, im looking to get a black limited or eddie bauer wiht all the options, any recomendations for years to look at, and what problmes that occured, and certain things to look for before buying one

As you can see in my sig I like the 02 model. I have had great luck with the 7.3 in my pickups and knew when I got an X that was the only motor for me. I would look for 02 or 03 w/ 7.3, but I know there are guys that like the 6.0. As far as 00 or 01 IMO they are great, but they dont have some of the convience items that were added in 02, such as auto headlights, memory seats, heated mirrors, adjustable pedals, and audio/temp controls on the steering wheel. I could be wrong on some of those, that seemed to be the diff when I was shopping.
