Based on what I could find this appears to be original to truck. Understand the WDM-U and the 3.70 but what does 9FB and 8.7 302A mean in regards to this axle?

WDM-U = Ford 9" Rear Axle with a 8 3/4" ring gear / 3.70-1 / No Limited Slip / 28 Spline Axle Shafts / 3,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

9FB = Assembled the 2nd week (B) of June (F) 1969 (9).

302 = Assembly Plant Code.

A = First design.

 

3.70 nice ! my pumkin is so nasty i can't see the tag ,

 

Appreciate it. My tag wasn't readable either until I removed about 1/2" of sludge from it.
