remaking my 88 302

greetings, writing cause im in a bind at the moment. ive got a ford bronco from 1988 with the 5.0/302 engine. from the start it has a k&n cold air intake, bbc throttle body, spacer and edlebrock performer rpm 5.0 intake manifold. the internals have remained stock, apart from a compcam that i put in years ago to make the her sound a bit aggressive. it has headers (short) and custom exhaust.

i came out to a bit of money and because i've heard this, i've come to my ford ppl for opinion: do swapping cylinder heads really increase performance. i called the summitracing tech guys who suggested the Edlebrock 60329 cylinder heads, suggesting that they'd increase compression and thus, performance. being that they cost $700 each, i fear that its pricey and i might not get or feel any upgrade in performance.

anyone has any suggestions, opinions, links to go to; i'd like to research and look b4 spending upwards $1400.

any help that u guys could give me it'll appreciated....and if you have any sort of numbers as to how much if any, do cylinder head increase hp/lbs, etc...

btw u can see my Bronco on the galleries or on cardomain.com under "Broncoboogieman"

In a Bronco, you'd get more satisfaction stroking the motor, or simply just going to a 351W engine. Heads are only going to bump the rpm range up, along with the powerband. In other words, the power gained will be in the upper rpms.
