There are two different fan shrouds, one for the V8 and one for the flat six.

There's one on Bay right now:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-1949-1950-1951-1952-Ford-Truck-V8-Fan-Shroud-/281123895060?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41744a3714&vxp=mtr
This is a shot from the back from a completed eBay sale.

There are no numbers stamped on them that I've ever seen.

thx...great pics

Thank you for the great pictures. Now I know what an original fan shroud should look like. I found a 47 ford truck fan shroud on e-bay that looks like the 49 v8 fan shroud pictures you sent. Anyone have an idea if they are indeed the same shroud? Thanks again

That second one (rusty) appears to have a very large opening for the fan, I wonder if it's for a Big Truck? like with a 337?

No idea but I'd almost think they are. Ford was very frugal and used parts as long as possible so they didn't have to change tooling.

The part # is 21T8146, but good luck finding one NOS laying around. It fit everything from F1-F6 (including COE) with the V8 from 48-52.
