I recently found a cactus smasher for my 78 truck but it is an earlier one witout the light tabs and holes. Could anyone send me or post a closeup of the tabs and location of the holes for mounting them. Also a template of the dimensions of the tabs. After a little re fab of the bar mounting tabs,I am going to make light tabs . Thanks Randy

 

Well here you go.....

Light tabs are 2 7/8 wide, 2 1/4 tall and 2 5/8 off the bar. Overall length of tab is 4 1/4 w/bend. I'd guess 3/16 thick? They have stiffing ridges in them (see pic).

Mount holes on both top and bottom bars are outer tab edge to outer tab edge is 26 1/4. Bolts are 7/16 and bolt right into the bar, its tapped with threads.

Anything else? And sorry but no I will not sale this set, already sold my set....

 

Thanks for all the info! Now I can make them if I don't find any. I will keep on looking for the marchal lights,switch and even tabs with my on going quest. In the mean time I will get to the shop sometimes and conform my mounting tabs to fit the 78 bumper of mine. Am pretty tickled I bought this pre 78 push bar for 36 bucks on e-bay. Just stumbled on it one day under a different heading than it should have been,and grabbed it soon as the remainder of three days were up. Still orig. paint on it and not a scratch! Shipping to me cost more than I paid for it. Thanks again,Randy
