Special tool for wiper arm removal

I have no spring tension on wiper and can not get arm off. Dose it take a special tool?

I checked your info sheet to see what year you have, if it's your 1960 F-100 I don't know, but Im sure someone else will. All I can tell you is that on my 50 F1, once you lift the arm up it just pulls off with finger pressure. I had to wiggle mine a little, but there wasn't a set screw or anything like that. Sorry I don't know about later years.

An old fashioned bottle opener covered with tape to protect the paint works excellent.

Having the right tool , sometimes makes all the difference. At the glass shop, the guy had my arms off in a few seconds, he shoulda had my head off though. The right tool made it so he didn't have to worry about scratching the paint, not that it would have mattered. I suppose you can cut a tree down with a butter knife, but a chainsaw is easier.

Not quite a butter knife but a bent ten penny nail did the trick. I did enjoy the analogy.

wiper problem

Thanks for the website info. I was a little impatient and used a ten penny nail that I bent to 90 degrees. A little pulling, a lot of cussing and off they came.
