Well today I was parking and the trans would not come out of rev. So I pulled out the whole shifter and its still stuck in rev but the shifter acts like its in neutral(moves side to side but will not go in any gear). I have no clue what to do. Should oh replace the shifter.can I get the trans into neutral. Thanks for any help

 

Is your clutch disengaging.
If yes then maybe fork broke.
Put it back together and just lightly rattle the shifter back and forth while pushing and releasing the clutch, rocking the truck. Not sure if loading and unloading the strain in the gears will help.

Back to first page. Maybe more people will have an idea.

 

I have tried that the fork looks good( not broke or bent. The clutch is fine too. I did notice the shifter bushings are mia and one of the 2 little guide pins are broke

 

I found the problem. The reverse shift lever in the trans was bent so I replaced it with a junkyard part. Down the road I go. Thanks for the help guys
