difficulty going into 1st and reverse
93 2WD. Having some difficulty going into 1st and reverse. Also developed a LOT of horizontal play in the neutral position.Seems like the pedal has gotten soft -er over the last 20,000 mis. 150,000 on the truck. Is the clutch a simple job?
Someone stated a part was broke on top of the transmission and could be replaced. How much $$ should all this cost ?

"Is the clutch a simple job?" - Define simple. With a garage, lifts, trans jack and other assorted tools.... Yes. Otherwise No.
Pull your shifter console boot off and un-screw the 3 bolts that hold the shifter in the trans. Chances are you could have broken one of the pieces right there. Should take you like 20 min to find out.
