48 f1 question

Ive read that the wheelbase on a 48 f1 is 114. if this is correct do most people stretch the wheelbase 1" to center the front wheels in the wheelwell? like some people do on the 53-56 trucks.
also can someone give me a dimension from back of cab to center of both front and rear wheels? I was given a nice F2 cab and front clip and im making my own frame for it but with the large openings in the f2 fenders its hard to determine center. and it dosent help that i do not have a bed. i will be making this f2 into a f1 shortwheelbase truck. thanks in advance. mike

Moviing the front axle forward is done only on the 53-56 trucks. Axle placement for the 48-52 is okay where it is...

Check this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ts-for-f1.html

The diagram below has F-1 dimensions, which should be the same from the front axle to the rear of cab on an F-2.
