Only thing possible other than stock is a set of custom made roller rockers from harland sharp. There is nothing else that will fit these engines availible.
Anybody got a 351m, 400, 300, or 360 ford laying around that they can compare rocker arms to? It's sometimes amazing what parts are interchangeable. Like the 7.3 and the 300 have the same timeing gears.
A frenid of mine has a 600hr 460 made out of stock ford internals. from many diffrent years and engains.
According to them, they couldnt match our rockers with anything off the shelf either. I doubt whether any ford rockers would work, but i wonder about other international engines. They could very well be 1.5s too though if there even were some that are compatible. Kinda talkin out my **** here until i get farther along, but im curious if you could modify the head to accept a different rocker, instead of finding a rocker to fit our head.
With the assembley line system you want as many interchangeble parts as possible, I hope there is someting out there.
Something else that could happen, if we can get some more orders for the roller rocker they should come down in price.
Group buy time. However even though i was the one pedalling the roller rockers from the start, even if they cut the price by 50%, thats still more than im willing to pay for rockers. $350 is my top dollar for rockers.
The HS rockers are 1000-1200. I can buy aluminum roller rockers for my small block for 200 and change lol.
Thats because there are thousands of guys rebuilding chevys.
I wonder how many idi are still on the road and how many of the owners are willing to rebuild them.
Well with adjustable you could convert to solid roller lifters, not sure what the advantage would be there. But what would really be sweet is a set of 1.7 ratio rollers.
