64-66 bumper

I was checking them out also. The price and even the shipping seem to good to be true. On my last trip to the boneyard I seen he had a mint bumper that he had taken off one of the trucks and had stuck it in the bed which had an old camper on it. 50 dollars and what felt like a 1 mile hike back and it was mine.

Are you looking for a front or a rear bumper? If you need a front Bumper, you cannot beat Rock auto for price! As I understand And i am sure that NumbersDummy will chime in... the bolt pattern is the same on the 64-66 as it is on the later, but the difference is the curve of the bumper. I know this is true on the front bumpers.. the 67-72 will bolt right on a 64-66 but they are not arced they look the same but are straight from end to end.. so they don't quite match the front end contour.... Now I don;t know if that is the case for the rear... But it is something to take into consideration.... ND will clarify this, as i am sure I have some of it screwed up... I have an original 64 front bumper, and the new repop, which is straight, instead of arced only a ford truck guy would notice the difference the older one arc's about 1 1/2" - 2" inches, the new one has about 1/2 of arc..

Tri-City Plating? They did mine, front one had a small bend in it too and they straightened it out perfect. Over twice the price but worth it, IMO. Repro bumpers are thinner, prep is poor and the chrome shows the less than stellar prep work. You get what you pay for.

Appears from Bill's post there are a number of donor years to select from? Salvaged a front bumper of heavy gage material. A knucklehead clipped it pulling into parking space, purchased a replacement online and it was crap. Fortunately keep the bent bumper and ended up taking it to a local platng shop that specialized in straightening and re-chroming bumpers and it cost the knucklehead $200.
