Transmission Question t18 t87 ?

EDIT: - How about a great big DUH - Last night I was racking my brain, along with some others of where I could find the small parts shown below - BAM - I have a top shift 3 speed light duty buried somewhere in my garage - Today after the temp got above 40 degrees I went out and after a little digging I found the trans and the top looked liked what I needed, at least around the shift cane - Tearing it down I found the pieces I needed - They are now soaking in cleaner to remove 40 yrs of gunk

Does anyone know if these parts (Under the control cap) from a mid 70's Jeep T-150 are the same as those used in a T18, T87, or any Ford Top Shifter

If they are does anyone know who sells them

Agreed Novak or offroaders.com would be the places to ask. I think from what research I have done I feel comfortable saying the T150 top pieces will interchange with a T98, T18 and T19 - never had one in my hand though, that comes from a ton of research done last year.

It would still be good to know if Jeep parts will work; did you ever call Novak?

I was getting ready to call yesterday when I had my moment - I will still have to find replacement parts for my 3spd LD so it's on the todo list

The spring and the spring retainer will work - The cap is too small
So far I have Ford 3spd light duty, Jeep T150, Jeep T176, Ford 3.03 and Ford $spd Toploader parts mixed inside the Trans and I'm adding Ford T?? parts to the outside of the case and Some parts David Kee (4speedtoploader.com) had laying around
I think it will be a one and only Tranny
I will check the T?? parts once I get it out of the Truck

Dick - I rebuilt my T-9 crash box not long ago and have a second one that is in pieces after being used in support of the other. It's just scrap now, so you're welcome to have those pieces off it assuming they'll work. If interested pm me and give me the diameter of the cap to make sure they are the same. And your mailing info. Stu
