The TRANS code is stamped on the Warranty Plate: A = NP435 / F = Warner T-18.
The shaft lever retainer cap on the Warner (8MTH-7220) threads off/on.
The shift lever retainer cap on the NP435 (B8T-7220-D) has two notches on it, and is retained by two pins that protrude from the shift tower.
To remove this cap, it must be pressed down and held down while turning it to remove it.
People are unaware of this procedure, use pliers to remove it, which tears out the two notches. Now the shift lever is unsecured and just flops around.
Do you need the lever, or just the individual parts?

SQF was located at 1550 Westwood Blvd. when I was there, but when it first opened in the 1930's, was located on the NW corner of Gayley Ave./Lindbrook Dr. in Westwood Village (the building is still there).
SQF moved to the Westwood Blvd location in the early 1960's after Bryan Oldsmobile (the original tenant) went out of business. The showroom is still there, the rest of the buildings are long gone.
In late 1967, SQF merged with Walker-Buerge Ford (now Buerge Ford) located at 11800 Santa Monica Blvd. in West LA.
The reason for the merger: SQF had outgrown the location, and being only a mile south of Westwood Village/UCLA, there was no additional land available nearby.
Finding a place to park not only all the new cars/trucks, but the customers (and employees) cars as well was almost impossible.
The neighbors were screaming because many were parked on the adjacent streets, and it wasn't too long before parking permits were required, killing any chance of SQF using the spaces.
I have a pair of SQF license plate frames (fit 1956 and later plates), that are harder to find than hens teeth.

Got the borg warner Bill
There were two different 4 speeds used in these truck, which one is it...New Process 435 (NP435), or Warner T-18? The parts are not the same.
