I'm a newbie here. I purchased a '97 F350 from my cousin. I'm still waiting for delivery (Seattle to Detroit!). I plan on doing a RSK by Precision Metal Fabrication. The truck is a regular cab Long bed with a 5.8. I want it to sit level and nothing bigger then a 35x12.50 16" and not ride like a tank!
I picked up a set of SD springs but not sure what code they are. Owner claimed they are from a '04 F250 6.0 CC short bed. Numbers on the springs are 3C34AJA. They have a arch of around 4". I called a local dealer and was told they are "J" code. Usually I hear about U or V code. I checked some measurements on SDtrucksprings and they have about 1" more arch. Does anyone have some front SD springs laying around and a tape measure? How about some info about the SD springs and/or RSK?

Does anyone have any Super Duty springs laying around? Just need a arch measurement from center of the bolt hole to top of the spring.

Looks like j is rear spring.
Call previous owner and have him look at door tag if possible.
I dont think you can tell any other way.

 

The original truck is long gone so the code can't be checked.
The springs measure 1 1/8" thick and have a 4" arch. The closest replacement spring would be for a excursion. I guess I'll try them with the RSK and see what happens. If they are too mushy I can always change them!

 

Or add a leaf?
