He was leaving the farm early because he didn't want to get stranded.
I will let him tell the rest of the story, if there is one.
I went 5 hours north today and there is no snow...

How do I say this, delicately? The boys, it appeared, didn't quite know what to make of having to negotiate their "units" and "luggage" through the deep snow. And trying to lift a leg above it wasn't happenin'. Stu

9" of snow at the Flatlander Truckfest World Headquarters. The pic I sent Chris this morning was outside of where I work. As Jeff said I was at the farm yesterday and we had to make sure we left before the road got too bad. Put the rebuilt carb and new fuel pump on the F3 and got it to turn over. No fire though but I think we've got that figured out so it should run the next time. Will only be the second time running since I've owned it. Got to be ready for Truckfest!

hey doc....i'm not far behind you. i made my living outside here in the great north east and i love it!!!! at least i use to now i find that while i'm out shovelling snow that my fingers that had been frostbitten numerous times now want to ache like an old tooth ache.....and i don't even have any teeth!!!! ( well the plastic ones work pretty good.) i have a wonderful house and huge pole barn on the oneida ri. and me and my bass boat do just fine in the warmer months. but now, more and more, i'm finding myself and my wife prisoners with little outside activity for 4 months or more. her son lives in s. carolina and i think after 1 or 2 more years i'll be heading south. i'd be there now but hate to give up the pleasures i get altho just 8 months a year. is the cold what made you move? AXracer sez thats what made him move.

I've mentioned this before but I think it's a good plan. When I retire I want to buy a new 4x4 with a snow plow. The next day I'll fuel it up and start heading south. When I finally get to a point where I pull over in some small town for gas and some one walks up to me and asks, "Hey, buddy, what it that thing on the front of your truck?" I'll know I've found my retirement home town. I'll take the plow off, put it my front yard as lawn art and look at it every day, laughing at the poor fools I left behind.
It's just a dream, the way it looks I'll be stuck here for the rest of my life and they'll have to thaw the ground out to plant me.

Garry, if you search ebay, you can actually find a T-shirt with that picture on it. I like it too. Plus it has the "more desirable" Monkey Face grill.
We are still getting snow even here in Kentucky. We got at least 2 or 3 inches just last night. Nothing like you guys up north, but it's still winter here too. I distinctly remember that I mowed my grass twice in the month of March last year. This year, the grass hasn't even really started growing.
