You mean ICP psi? I believe the IPR percentage controls the ICP psi...or i think

IPR% shows the efficiency of the HPOP system. 580 psi at idle sounds great, but which is better:

580 psi @ 22% or 580 psi @ 35%?

22% means a healthy system, 35% means the crap is about to hit the fan.

I think I've got IPR% on the second page anyways, no big deal there.

So, should I just get the pyrometer and low pressure fuel then? I will agree that the Edge Insight, DashBoss, Auto Ingenuity, Scan Gauge, and Banks IQ all work, just that I found the Torque application and Bluetooth adapter to be not only cheap, but effective, and I like how much I can personalize it. Yes, I understand I can't bring the pyrometer or low pressure fuel into it, but I don't want that. Those are two gauges I would prefer in analog form anyways. I am debating just getting a pillar boost gauge as well as the factory one in the cluster is a bit small and hard to read when it moves quickly.

Sounds like you got it covered between the Torque and FP/EGT analog gauges. Some members will also put in a low pressure oil gauge, and a HPOP gauge.

Depending on the custom tune writer, they fool the ICP reading to obtain power. This fooled ICP reading will show thru the OBDII monitoring device. At this point, the only way to get a true ICP reading when custom tune is to read ICPv and convert volts to psi, or use DashBoss ICP Calc PID, or install a HPOP analog gauge. Other than that, you would need to return the truck to stock tune to get a true ICP reading thru the OBDII.

I've checked and verified my ICP to be reading correctly using the method you described when using Torque, so I should be fine there. I just have it input on Torque as "HPOP PSI." The IPR is read on the next page in %, so I have that as well. I guess the HPOP analog gauge is alright, but seems unnecessary if you can read it through your monitoring device. The low pressure oil makes sense I guess as well. I just know I want the pyrometer and low pressure fuel for sure as you can't read those without a sending unit.

So, at this point I'm thinking of doing the 3-pillar gauge setup and doing Boost, low pressure fuel, and pyrometer. The reason I've decided to use a boost gauge is that the stock sender will not show over ~29 PSI, plus the gauge in the cluster is fairly small and hard to read. Low pressure fuel and pyrometer only make sense. Low pressure oil to me doesn't make much sense to watch. It seems like you basically either have oil pressure or you don't, that's about it. I feel 4 gauges on the pillar is a bit hard to read but 3 would probably be just fine.

I'm not a big fan of A-pillar gauges, so I have a Scangauge and then a PLX multigauge in a steering column pod for fuel pressure and EGT.

You can always op to get a 3 gauge pod under the dash like this if you don't want the A-pillar pod:

Yea, that's a decent setup as well, but I like the A-pillar pod as its easy to read quickly and doesn't take my eyes off the road. Also, on my truck there is a storage bin down there that pod would block.

Just curious what these two can do that Torque and a few A-pillar gauges can't? I already said I wanted analog boost, fuel pressure, and pyrometer and obviously Edge and Scan Gauge don't read those out in analog, they're digital.

I already run a scangauge and plan on running a real boost, EGT and fuel pressure gauge someday. An edge is nice, but its very expensive, especially if you want to add on the EGT and fuel pressure senders. Scangauge is nice because it reads lots of other values that you would need a LOT of analog gauges to do
