Mounting Locations for Backup Camera (Pics)

I am having a real hard problem trying to find the ideal place to mount my backup camera on my 2004 Ford Ranger...If you have one mounted give me some pics of your mounting location or ideas would be greatly appreciated..Closest to the center of the bumper would be best if possible...
Thanks,Bob

What kind of camera do you have? Is it wireless? How small is it? Is it weatherproof? One area that comes to my mind right now is the tailgate latch, but somewhere on the bumper might also work...

On the lower edge of the bumper, there are already holes on either side. Maybe drill a hole the right size through the camera mount, and bolt it in there. Or, make yourself a mount out of some flat steel.
How do you plan on weatherproofing those RCA plugs?

I could shrink tube the RCA plugs.... I have read countless articles about backup cameras and nobody has mentioned sealing the RCA plugs...I could also coat them with dielectric grease...

I did notice the two holes on each end near the bumper bracket but I was trying to mount as close to center on the bumper as possible for a center view...Thanks for your input...

Yes, shrink fit would work.
I just thought of something. If you have that plastic covering on the bumper, you may be able to mount it there. Only problem there would be it might cover part of your license plate, and I suspect someone may have a problem with that. Heh, I've been stopped because my tag was half covered in snow. For some unknown reason, the LEO didn't understand it was snowing outside.LOL

It came with double sided tape for mounting and so far I am thinking mounting it on the right side looking at the bumper below the license light..

That was my thought as well, except I visualized it on the left side.

Left side might work better because that is the side I am hooking into the backup light...
