Picture of location of 1962 half ton 4x4 VIN
Napass2004, here is a picture of the location of the vin on my 1962 half ton 4x4 (under the hood, passenger side).
The vin under the cab can barely be seen through the battery access door. I used a thin piece of alum. tape and rubbed a stick over it to copy the vin onto the tape. I think you can use a pencil and paper.
