I remember trying to fit 33x12.50 R15s on my stock 93 bronco (I think they are pretty much the same at the previous gen minus the front body and interior). That was in 1995 though. It wasn't even close to fitting. It would have seriously rubbed. I may have had the wrong width and offset. It's been a while and my brain is crusty.

I ended up with 31 inch BFGs ATs on it and that worked very well.

Good luck.

33's will fit if you trim the front bumper and space it out using washers. as for the power drain, you need to figure out what gears your bronco has. if you have 3.08's which many rigs with that motor came with it will not be enjoyable. this is an easy fix though, find a front center pumpkin and rear 8.8 from a v8 equipped bronco/f150 that have 3.55 gears. great upgrade to your rig with that motor regardless of tire size to be honest with you. and would be cheap.

I had an 84 bronco with 33/12.50x15, they rubbed whenever i turned tight. dont know what they would do on a later model. As far as your inline 6 goes, a gear change would be recommended with 33's, especially if you have an auto trans. 30" may be ok, if you want to go smaller with no lifting

They will fit with trimming to the bumper and fender. Gear change is recommended if you have 3:08s.

Try a 32x11.5 it'll fit and only rub if you really abuse the truck. I haven't had any issues on my 90 bronco

Kem's advice on the swap to 3.55's is spot on. Even if you don't go all the way up to 33's, the power and responsiveness is well worth the expense.

I have a 96 that came with 33's. It has no lift and they rubbed BAD.......speedo and odometer weren't accurate. Looked good but gave me a death wobble that scared the **** outta me.

Replaced the tires with the proper size and it runs like a dream........

As others have said, with the correct backspacing 33x12.50s will fit with minimal to no rubbing. You will just need to trim th front fender a bit.

ON any 92-96 bronco the speedo must be calibrated to the size tire. this can be done yourself by reprograming the PSOM. This would have cured some of those issues and would also improve how the transmision operates (auto).

as for the rubbing a 33 x 10.50 tire would work well and wouldnt rub the radius arms. or you can adjust the steering stops to also help. I rub at full lock and i am lifted with extended radius arms not a big deal

Keep in mind that the PSOM can only be reprogrammed six (6) time before the internal software locks you out. Since recalibrating the PSOM affects the odometer the six-time recal. keeps it legal.

Your 89 will have the same fenders as my 88. 33x10.5 and 12.5 will rub on a full turn in either direction. You can change the bump stop or go to a larger offset but then you "may" rub on the rear of the fender during turns. The bumper only has to be moved on 92 to 96. Just for reference I currently have and 88 with 33x12.5 with a larger offset and a 3" body lift shown below.

Hope this helps !

in the mid 1990's I had an 84 Bronco 'Ranger' XLT

460 ... 4bbl .... dual exhaust .... pass most everything, but the gas station

I fit 33 x 12.5 x 15's on just fine, for the street .... slight flexing of the rear suspension have the inner lip of the rear fender wells cutting the side wall

for street driving you should be fine, wheel you may wish to trim the fender wells or put on a 2' body lift
