I'm still waiting for a wireless magnet mount camera that will send video to my Android via wifi or BT.

PITA hooking up trailers all the time by myself - it usually takes 3 or 4 times of getting out of the cab and looking at it to get hooked up. Don't want a separate display module or have to wire it.

Video might be too much bandwidth for bluetooth, the chinese could do it with wifi. Use a stick or pole vertically on your trailer...

Tuner with camera capibilities

I really dig the tuners that can handle a backup camera. Its like killing two birds with one stone. I think they run around 650 bucks minus camera. They have a AV in that goes into camera when you put it in reverse also and it is in a natural line of sight on the A pilar.

Just my 2 cents

Well, they may well have indeed done it.

Found a "mini IP spycam" by Conbrov on Amazon for $60. Direct connects to my Android (or can connect via a wifi network). Just got it in and haven't played with it much. It has an internal battery that's supposed to be good for 30 minutes or so. I'll need to supply my own magnet mount to connect with one of the included case adapters.

I need to do some experimenting with it to see how it actually works for those trailer connections.

Is that camera lens cover glass or polycarbonate ( plastic )? If plastic, I wonder if it will yellow over time like the headlight lens covers.

It's only going to be outside for 5 minutes each I need to hook up the trailer. Don't really care about "yellowing".

Slap it on the tailgate, hook up, put it back in the truck until next time which might be weeks.

For $180, I'll continue getting in and out of the truck. Plus, you still have wiring, a cable, and a transmitter module separate from the camera itself. No thanks.
