The shop I went to said they would just match the factory tint, but I think it is around 15%. 5% is nearly limo tint and 10% still seems like it would be too dark, so the 15% seems right.

i threw on 20 cent lol on my drivers window, got it from oreilly its a gila brand. it seems a lil light yet but still doesnt match because of the greenish tint that the glass already has, the rear glass seems to have a brown hue to it.

i think 15 would be correct its just i couldnt find any, i think ill take it back off and have it all redone the same eventually, but ill roll with the 20 for now it already helps with cab heat.

I went 35% to TRY to stay legal...the shop that did my tint said that 20% should be an exact match for the factory tint. By the way, the fronts will always seem a few percent lighter strictly because of the light the windshield lets in the cab.

x2 with what MCDavis said. 20% would be correct to add to the front. 20 makes my front and back match to the point no one can tell.

Did all of you have yours done or did you DIY. Mine is either darker in back not just with the dors closed with them open to compare or the tint that I bought isnt the best maybe.

Do you know what brands of tint u used?

Don't know the brand but a buddy of mine has been tinting for over 15 years and he did my truck. The tint on my truck has been on for over 7 years with no discoloration, bubbles, etc. Probably worth it to pay a little extra for the good stuff. Not sure what costs are around the U.S but I was charged $50 for both of my front windows to be done.

$85 for both fronts for me. I'm glad that I paid to have mine done, as the passenger window had something caught between the film and the window causing an imperfection. 3 days after the first install the shop completely re-did the passenger side...free of charge. I cannot recall the brand right now, but it's metallic, not ceramic.
